At the Conference
Accessibility
Our stewards are always available during events should you require any assistance. Harrogate Convention Centre holds regular meetings with local accessibility groups to ensure we are as accessible as possible to everyone. If you have any queries regarding your visit to the Convention Centre, please give our reception team a call on 01423 500500.

Parking
The Harrogate Convention Centre offers Blue Badge parking in its underground car park, with direct lift access to Entrance One of the Auditorium.
For Entrance 4 (Hall M), Royal Hall, and Entrance 5 (Hall A), the Jubilee Car Park is the closest and most accessible option. The Jubilee car park is located just a three-minute walk away and is free for Blue Badge holders.

Mobility Assistance
There are designated spaces for wheelchair users in both the Auditorium and Royal Hall and we have accessible toilets throughout the venue. If you need a walking frame, wheelchair, or mobility scooter and don’t want to bring your own, you may be able to hire from:

Please let us know in advance if you wish to bring a guide dog so we can make sure your animal is catered for.
Accessible Toilets
The Harrogate Connvention Centre has accessible toilets throughout the venue.
Fixed-loop Hearing
There are fixed-loop hearing systems at our main reception desk and in the Auditorium, while Royal Hall is equipped with the latest infrared hearing system. Temporary loops can be installed in other areas our venues at the event organiser’s request.
Hidden Disabilities
The venue is proud to be participating in the Sunflower Scheme, where patrons with hidden disabilities are able to be identified by members of staff and if required are offered additional assistance. If you wish to benefit from the scheme please speak to a member of our staff who will be able to assist you.

The Fat Friendly Seating Campaign
We support our friends at Fat Friendly Seating and their campaign to give larger visitors the information they need to access event venues in ways that do not damage their bodies and to encourage organisers to consider accessibility and how they can accommodate larger guests. Badges/Passes
All participants and exhibitors must wear their name badge visibly at all times inside the conference venue.
Cloakroom
A manned cloakroom is available for all participants free of charge.
The cloakroom is located in the registration area.
NB! Please note that the cloakroom is unable to store any items overnight and that cameras, laptop equipment, and other electronic devices cannot be stored in the cloakroom at any time.

Situated in the centre of the UK and equidistant from London and Edinburgh, the east coast and west coast, Harrogate Convention Centre is well connected by rail, road and air transport and easily accessible from all parts of the UK.
Rail
Harrogate is linked to all major UK cities including four daily direct LNER services between London KX and Harrogate Station (2 hours 46 minutes). Harrogate Convention Centre is just a seven-minute walk (or short taxi ride) from Harrogate train station. Taxi services are available across the road opposite the main doors of the station.

Please remember to check the closing times of your car park if you intend to stay late as vehicles locked in will be charged a release fee.
Google Maps
From the South
21 minutes from the A1. Take the M1 and A1(M) before leaving at Junction 45 (Wetherby) then take the A661 to Harrogate. Alternatively continue on the A1(M) to Junction 47 (Knaresborough) then follow signs to Harrogate.
From the North
24 minutes from the A1.Take the A1(M) and exit at Junction 47 (Knaresborough) then follow signs to Harrogate.
Air
At 12 miles (20 minutes) the closest airport to Harrogate Convention Centre is Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA). There are regular flights from locations across the UK and many connections worldwide, including Paris (1 hour 30 minutes), Amsterdam (1 hour 10 minutes), Dublin (1 hour).
To get from LBA to Harrogate, take the A2 bus which takes approximately 31 minutes, runs hourly and will drop you off at Harrogate’s main bus station, from there it’s a five minute walk to the Convention Centre.
Alternatively a taxi will take about 20 minutes and around £35.
If you are travelling from a destination without direct flights to LBA, consider a connection from Schiphol, Amsterdam.

Catering and Refreshments
Conference refreshments (tea, coffee, and sandwich bags) are included with all conference passes. If you have selected the dinner option, a three-course dinner and additional refreshments will also be provided.
If you have any specialised dietary requirements beyond vegetarian options, please inform us at least two weeks prior to the event so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
Internet / WiFi
Everyone coming to Harrogate Convention Centre has access to free 3MB wi-fi service. No need for sign-up or passwords, just connect and accept their T&Cs and you’re ready to browse the web or keep up to date with your social media. Look for ‘Venue Wifi' on your connections list. Please note this service is not suitable for heavy downloads or streaming.
Lost & Found
Lost items can be handed in at the cloakroom level 4.
Mobile Phones
All mobile phones must be on silent mode during the sessions.
We encourage you to share pictures and experiences from the conference with colleagues – both in person and on social media – but please show consideration for the people in your photos before sharing them.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the conference venue at all times.
Smoking is only permitted in the specific outdoor areas signposted “smoking areas”.

Abstracts
All abstracts will be available on touch screens located around the venue, along with selected shortlisted presentations featured in the main auditorium programme.
You will also be able to search for a specific abstract, browse the full list of abstracts, or view abstracts by author.
Winning abstracts
Award-winning abstracts and free paper presentations will be recognised during Tuesday night’s Gala Dinner.
Successful presenters will also have the opportunity to work with our editorial team and will be invited to publish an article in the Wounds UK Journal following the event.
Certificates

Speaker Green Room
Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive to the Speaker Green Room at least two hours before your scheduled session.
The Speaker Green Room is located behind the registration area. Please follow the venue signage or ask a member of the registration team for assistance.
Please note that personal laptops cannot be used for presentations.
A technician will be available to help upload your presentation to the central conference system. Once uploaded, a short test will be carried out to ensure the presentation has transferred correctly and is functioning properly.
Your presentation will then be made available in the session room where your presentation is taking place.

Accommodation
Reservation Highway has been appointed as the official hotel accommodation agent for the conference and will manage all hotel bookings and arrangements.
A range of hotel rooms across different categories will be available to conference participants at specially negotiated rates via the official booking website.
