Wounds UK is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the Wounds UK Annual Conference 2026, taking place 9–11 November 2026 at the Harrogate Convention Centre.

 

Poster presentations will be displayed exclusively via electronic poster (e-poster) screens.

 

To be considered for the e-poster exhibition, an abstract submission is required. All submitted entries will automatically be entered for the FDUK & Wounds UK Award for Excellence 2026.

 

All abstracts will be reviewed by our judging panel, who will assess submissions based on innovation, relevance to current and/or best practice, and the quality of research or evidence presented.

  • Product evaluation

  • Service evaluation/ Quality improvement

The Award
The winner of the Wounds UK Award for Excellence will receive a free 3-day delegate pass with entrance to the gala dinner.

E-poster viewing
The e-poster exhibition is the perfect forum for wound care clinicians to exhibit their work at the largest UK wound care conference. All e-poster presenters will receive a discounted attendance rate at the event.

All e-posters will be displayed on large interactive touch-screen TVs. Delegates will be able to search and browse posters by author, category, and poster title. Up to six screens will be available, with each screen providing access to all submitted e-posters. In addition, selected poster presenters will be invited to present their work on the main stage as part of the scientific programme.

Guidance on how to complete the abstract submission

  • Lead contact - This person will receive all communications regarding this submission – if more than 1 person (i.e. industry plus lead author) needs to be kept informed about this entry, please indicate this clearly on your entry. All communications are made via email.
  • Please confirm if your abstract submission is for:
    • Free paper – You are willing to present a maximum of 10min presentation at the conference
    • E-poster – You would like to only submit a e-poster
    • Both (Free paper and E-poster) – you are happy to be invited to present and will also submit an e-poster

 

  • This year we are accepting abstract submissions that full under the above categories, you will be asked to select which category your abstract falls under.
  • When submitting your abstract we will need the following information.
    • Abstract title
    • Your abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words. Your abstract must include: Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusion
    • Our application system does not accept images, however we will need you confirm that you have consent to use the images
    • We will also need a list of your references
